Service and Support Engineer, SE
- Provides maintenance and technical service to customers to maintain maximum Biomarker Generator (BG) system up-time
- Additionally, provides operating guidance and optimization to ensure system efficacy and efficiency
Location:
- Based in Chapel Hill, NC area
- Support for system located at University of North Carolina
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Customer Interface – Interact with customers and clinicians to ensure maximum customer satisfaction
- Routine Maintenance – Perform routine proactive maintenance of the Biomarker Generator system (cyclotron, chemistry module and support equipment)
- Optimization – Represent ABT as the on-site technical expert in the optimization of the BG system parameters to ensure optimal machine performance and efficiency
- Troubleshooting – Respond to calls for service and support with the ability to travel on short notice
- Issue Resolution – Execute both mechanical and electrical repair as needed to maintain optimal operation of the BG system
- Installation – Assist with final site preparation and installation for new equipment installations as necessary
- Commissioning – Assist with the technical start-up, testing, commissioning and customer site acceptance of the BG systems for new installations as necessary
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years technical support experience
- Bachelor degree in a technical filed preferred (or equivalent experience)
- Working knowledge of PET radioisotope accelerators, chemistry modules and quality control systems preferred
- Experience working with high voltage and low-level radiation producing equipment
- Ability to use standard electronic test and measurement equipment (DVM, oscilloscope, micrometers, etc.)
